Tom Kelly, PT, Co-Owner
Tom graduated from The University of Tennessee Center for the Health Science and received a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy in 1979. He started his career as a staff physical therapist at Baptist Memorial Medical Center in Memphis, TN. In 1982, Tom moved back to Knoxville, TN where he took the position of Director of Rehabilitation Services at St. Mary's Medical Center. Tom and Andy Smith opened Associated Therapeutics, Inc. in 1985. Tom is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation which includes the treatment of Balance Disorders. Tom and his wife, Dianne, have three children. He enjoys sports, the outdoors, and spending time with his family boating on Norris Lake.

Andy Smith, MS, PT, Co-Owner
Andy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Kansas State University in 1971. He continued his education at the University of Kansas where he received a Certificate of Physical Therapy in 1972. In 1978, Andy received a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, Graduate School of Physical Therapy, Clinical Specialization Program. Andy served the United States Army as Captain and Staff Physical Therapist at the U.S. Army Hospital in Okinawa, Japan, and Second Lieutenant at the U.S. Dunham Army Hospital in Carlie, Pennsylvania. Andy also served as Clinic Director in several hospital environments. Andy and Tom Kelly opened Associated Therapeutics, Inc. in 1985. At Associated Therapeutics, Andy specializes in Functional Capacity Evaluations. Andy and his wife, Tina, have five children. Andy has a passion for running. He has participated in many local charitable long distance running events and has also run in the Chicago, Hawaiian and Dublin, Ireland marathons. Back to the top

Michael Kane, PT, Administrator
Mike attended the University of Michigan, receiving his Bachelor's Degree and Certificate in Physical Therapy from U-M in 1978. He worked for 12 years outside Toledo, Ohio in both hospital and private practice settings. He has focused primarily on administration and management of rehabilitation for the last 5 years. Mike lives on the outskirts of Clinton, TN.

Denise Griffin, PT
Denise is a North Knoxville native and has been married to Bill for 21 years. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1980 with B.A. in Psychology; she later graduated from the University of South Alabama with a B.S. is Physical Therapy in 1986. She has worked at Associated Therapeutics on and off for over 11 years.

Rhonda Bayless, PT
Rhonda earned her A.S. in 1991 from Southeast Community College. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Health Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 1994. Rhonda is certified to perform Ergonomics Science FCE’s and Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization. Her specialty is Orthopedics and Sports Injuries. Rhonda is a member of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists. Rhonda began her PT career in 1994 at the PT Center of Ashland where she practiced until 2000. Before joining A.T. in 2001, Rhonda served as Staff PT Director at Kentucky Physical Therapy. She now manages our Morristown clinic. Rhonda enjoys golf, tennis, reading, University of Kentucky sports, and traveling.

Linda Chandanais, PTA
Linda grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and moved to East Tennessee in 1998. She graduated from Roane State Community College as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Linda joined Associated Therapeutics in September 2005. She is currently treating many patients who require aquatic therapy as well as patients needing land based therapy. Linda is married and has two children and two grandchildren.

Niel Corrier, PTA
Niel earned his Physical Therapist Assistant degree at South College in 2005. He worked at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital from 1995-2000. There, he worked as a cardiovascular technician assisting with heart catheters and invasive procedures. Niel also worked at Lakeshore Mental Health Institute as a psychiatric specialist for the USAR 844th Combat Engineer Battalion. He joined Associated Therapeutics in December 2005 and is working as a Physical Therapist Assistant with a concentration in aquatic therapy treatment. Niel married hiswonderful fiance', Hope, in 2007. Niel enjoys hiking, swimming, water parks, traveling, the beach and sports in general.

Carrie Mayer, Massage Therapist
Carrie attended the University of West Georgia where she received a B.S. in Biology. She worked as a physical therapy technician for many years before deciding to return to school. Carrie attended C.O.R.E. Massage Institute where she graduated with a Massage Therapy and Structural Bodywork Certificate. She received her national certification and Tennessee license soon after graduation. Carrie is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has been with Associated Therapeutics, Inc. since June 2002, working as an insurance specialist and massage therapist. Carrie and her husband, Rob, have a two children. Carrie's hobbies are snow skiing, hiking, camping, and shopping.

Terry Albert, MS, CRC
Terry has been with Associated Therapeutics since January 1991. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She received her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1990 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has over 10 years of experience doing vocational assessments. Terry is married and has 2 beautiful children, Katie and Will.
